The candidate will be proficient in collaborative documentation and evidence based clinical practice. Family Stabilization Program Social Worker

- Rehabilitation Support Services, Inc. has on opening for a Staff Social Worker in the Family Stabilization Program in the Otsego County Area. This program provides mental health counseling services to youth ages 4 to 17 and their families in their Otsego County home and school, with some telehealth services. Youth have been referred as a preventive measure due to risk of out of home placement in psychiatric hospital, residential, foster care, jail, etc. Case- load is very small (12- 15) and hours of counseling are enhanced for each youth and family. This Program is collaborative and strength based and provides trauma informed care and interventions that are youth and family centered and include Family Systems Therapy (FST), Motivational Interviewing. Rehabilitation Support Services, Inc. is seeking a MSW (Social Worker) or LMHC (Licensed Mental Health Clinician) to work throughout Otsego County in our Family Stabilization Program (FSP). Candidates must have an MSW and be making preparations to be licensed in the State of New York. Supervision towards one’s clinical hours will be provided.
Staff will provide counseling, care coordination, and linkage to other community supports. These services are provided in homes and/or in schools to youth ages 4 to 18 and their families. Referrals to the program come from collaborative relationships with all Otsego County schools. The FSP program uses the System of Care framework that is family and youth centered, trauma informed, strength based and collaborative.
Other Requirements:
