An opening exists in the RSS Capital District PROS Program for a Rehabilitation Practitioner.  The PROS program is a person-centered, recovery-oriented model that serves adults recovering from mental illness.  Qualified candidates must have a Bachelors degree, however preference will be given to candidates with Masters degrees.  The candidate should have a minimum of one 1 year experience providing direct service relating to the care or treatment of persons with a designated mental illness.  The qualified candidate will be responsible for duties including, but not limited to the provision of classroom/group services, the provision of one to one services, and the accurate and timely completion of all documentation.  An understanding of the PROS model and the principles of psychiatric rehabilitation are a plus.  Experience assisting individuals living with mental illness in securing and sustaining employment is also a plus.  The position may require flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.  Completion of criminal background check required.

Essential Functions:

1.Performs QI activities in the programs as assigned by the Managing Director. The job responsibilities listed below will vary according to program/area of QI responsibility.

2.Ensure accurate records are maintained per relevant guidelines.

3.Work cooperatively with all internal and external entities.

4.Ensure the protection of all clients’ civil liberties, rights and property.

5.Conduct on-site program reviews and provide feedback on findings and recommendations to Managing Director.

6.Conduct review of closed charts and ensure they are cataloged and stored appropriately.

7.Conduct reviews of service plans and service plan linked notes and provide feedback to Program Directors.

8.Monitor statistical outcomes in electronic case records and provide feedback to Managing Director, Program Directors and Administration.

9. Conduct periodic QI forums with consumers and staff as requested by Managing Director.

10.Conducting incident investigations, including the completion of investigation documents. Coordinate, as applicable, with the Managing Director, Quality Improvement and Human Resources in the investigation process, to ensure that it is a thorough, complete and fair process.

11.Provide guidance and assistance to division management staff for program operating compliance with applicable regulations and RSS policy and procedure as directed by Managing Director or Designee.

12.Provide training to staff as directed by Managing Director or Designee.

13.Participate in agency and division committees and meetings as directed by Managing Director or Designee.

14.Participate in review of Medicaid billing packet for multiple programs.

15.Complete pre-billing Medicaid audits as directed by the Managing Director or Designee.

16.Evaluate any systems issues identified through incident investigations or program operation audits and make recommendations to the Managing Director for improvement/change.

 

Other Duties:

1.Participate in training sessions designed to enhance growth and skill development.

2.Perform other reasonably related duties assigned by the immediate supervisor or other management staff as required.
