Crisis Services – Respite (Adults)

A residential service that provides a safe, supportive and supervised residential setting requiring respite support.  Individuals may choose to stay in the crisis/respite residence when they are experiencing a  crisis as an alternative to seeking hospitalization or as a planned admission.  As this is a non-medical crisis/respite residential service, individuals suitable to stay must not need the services of a hospital, be able to keep themselves safe from harm, utilize the supports offered, and respect the needs of others who are staying.  Model of service is residential support with a recovery focus.

Services provided include:  Assertiveness/Self advocacy, Community Integration/Resource Development, Rehabilitation Counseling, Daily Living Skills, Health Services, Medication Management, Parenting Classes, Skill Development, Socialization, Substance Abuse Services, Symptom Management  An individual must be 18 years of age or older and must be diagnosed with a serious and persistent mental illness (SPMI).
