Peer Engagement Specialist

Position assists individuals to complete Wellness Recovery Awareness Plan (WRAP), identification and linkage to resources for patients referred by clinician/MCAT staff, provides recovery coaching, peer education and assist with skill development, and contacts clients before appointment to identify any obstacles to continued treatment and ensure attendance.  Minimum Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent. Preferred lived experience with mental health system and familiarity with services. Completion or ability to complete Academy of Peer Services, Peer Specialist Certification. Valid NYS Driver’s License required for some positions.
