Nurse Practitioner (Mental Health)

Reporting to the Delaware County Mental Health Clinic Psychiatrist, this position involves the provision of mental health care to both adults and children and youth receiving outpatient services under the auspices of the Delaware County Mental Health Clinic.   Responsibilities include proscribing psychotropic medication, providing medication management and education services, participating in clinical treatment staff meetings and utilization review meetings.  Minimum qualifications:  license to practice as a registered professional nurse in NYS and graduation from a nurse practitioner program registered by the State Education Department or graduation from an equivalent program approved by the State Education Department and one year of post licensure clinical nursing experience.  Criminal background check required.
