Services

Our Services

Services include NYS Office of Mental Health (OMH) residential group homes, licensed and supported apartment living, supported employment and affirmative businesses (also known as social enterprises), case management, psychosocial clubs, continuing day treatment, and psychiatric rehabilitation treatment.

RSS also operates U.S. Housing and Urban Development (HUD) Supportive Living and Shelter Plus Care programs.

We work with adults and children and offer various ancillary services that support our mission. These include unified services contracts with NYS Vocational and Educational Services for Individuals with Disabilities (VESID) for supported employment in 10 counties, as well as numerous subcontracts with county departments of mental health, probation, adult social services and children and family services.

Children and family services include an 8-bed community residence for adolescent girls, an after-school social and recreation program, Multisystemic Therapy (MST) and a Family Support Program. Another children and youth residence to serve 8 adolescent boys is in development.

Over the years, RSS evolved to provide rehabilitation and recovery-oriented services aimed at addressing the needs of persons with co-conditions of both mental illness and substance abuse. Under contract with the NYS Office of Alcoholism and Substance Abuse Services (OASAS) we provide an 18-bed men’s residential facility and have plans underway for an OASAS residence for 18 women.
